cherry-berry sangria.

Let’s not get down on the fact that the 4th of July falls smack in the middle of the week this year.

Cherry-Berry Sangria

On the contrary, in fact: This calls for an extra dose of celebratory cheer. Why? Because we now have an excuse to try a fun new sangria recipe … on a Wednesday!

Whip it up tomorrow night, and you’ll be ready for a fun-filled day of red and blue intoxication on Wednesday. It doesn’t sound so bad all of a sudden, right? ;)

Cherry-Berry Sangria

I dreamed this one up for the 4th thanks to said festive coloring, but I think it’s perfect for any summer occasion. Honey and lemon pair with cherries beautifully, and there’s even this fun thing called Kirsch that you can use in place of regular brandy. Kirsch is cherry brandy – how perfect is that? It’s almost as if it were made for sangria! You can also use it for plenty of other treats, so don’t feel guilty about buying a bottle.

Happy 4th of July sangria-ing, dolls!

Is that a verb? Because it totally should be.

I dreamed this one up for the sake of the 4th of July – with it’s appropriate red + blue combo move – but I think it’s perfect all summer long.

  • 1 cup Kirsch {cherry brandy}
